A person’s life does not sort itself into one neat subject. I want this site to hold my work in accessibility and UX alongside personal writing and the family stories I hope to leave for my grandchildren. The challenge is making those parts feel connected without making them difficult to find.
Start with clear paths
The main areas of the site need their own entrances: Legacy, Runzwithwords, Dancing Thunder, and Accessibility. Those names point to different kinds of material, so a visitor should not have to read my whole story before choosing where to go. A simple introduction and distinct paths can do that work.
Keep the connections visible
The sections are not separate lives. My career has shaped how I think and write, while personal reflection gives context that a list of roles could never provide. A short explanation on each landing page can show how that section fits into the larger archive.
Let the archive grow
I am beginning with places for the material, not pretending that every page is finished. Career records, writing, guidance, and photographs can be added as I gather and shape them. For now, clear labels and a structure that can hold new work are a good beginning.
