I got a message from Facebook today. Someone indicated I am “hot” in one of those “Compare” applications. I accepted this word graciously offered to me and clung to it like a cat pouncing a mouse. Facebook has been interesting to explore. MySpace has a cluttered, chaotic user interface that confuses the hell out of me. Facebook is organized and loaded with more ways to connect with and keep track of friends. Not a day goes by where someone isRead more…

(The following outburst is reprinted from a post at Cre8asiteforums by permission of myself because every once in a while it feels really damned good to let it all out.) In the beginning there was only a gray background. We borrowed (stole) everyone’s HTML so we could learn how to make our own web sites. We lied about our real identities. We were shy in those days. Wishing my friends, subscribers and loyal readers a peaceful, laughter-filled holiday season. I may have some time next week to drop in here, but if not, stay tuned. I’ll show up, sooner or later… In the meantime, there are lots of end of year blog awards events going on. My blog never fits into a category, so I sleep during the all ruckus. Or hide in my Christmas stocking. Much sexier.

There was a theme for this year’s Thanksgiving holiday and it had to do with age. I attended two Thanksgiving dinners. One was with some of my husband’s gigantic family at an aunt’s home in Maryland, 3.5 hours away. The other was at my house, with our kids, my parents, more of my husband’s family and a perfectly brined turkey. In Maryland, the conversation that I remember the most focused on how different life is for young people today. There’sRead more…
