I recently read a story on relationships that came to mind today as a possible way to understand why search engines are desperately spending Millions and Billions in Acquisitions. The story was about a man who met a woman on a plane and they got to talking about relationships. He asked if she was in a relationship and she said no, that she hadn’t found the “right man” yet. He asked what she was looking for and she replied sheRead more…

No matter how hard you try, there is always something wrong with your website. There is always a critic. I have a friend outside the USA who thankfully alerts me of my 404 error pages, which I appreciate, even though I told him over the weekend he was making me scream at my own inability to be perfect. You don’t want to be caught with your pants down when trying to present a professional site. Since my work permits meRead more…

I’m back! The surgery for a torn meniscus on my left knee on Monday went very well. I’m not in any pain (unless I do something dumb like make the knee do something it’s not ready for yet.) Recovery has been annoying only due to the side effects of medications, but on the other hand, my dreamstate has been awesome. Once I dreamt I was running with a large wolf. Eric says that must have some symbolic meaning to itRead more…

Someone I met on the Internet went M.I.A. He recently turned up again, to explain he had been in a serious accident in which he suffered a life threatening injury. He wanted to let the people in our group know he was still around, but his priorities had definitely changed. His Internet business was no longer taking center stage. His life and his family were more important now. For a long time I’ve pondered the Internet and how it hasRead more…
