There’s no denying it now. Something’s up with the planetary consciousness. Individuals, who are famous for building huge companies and loyal customers, are suddenly transitioning to something else. Something different. Sometimes, it’s not even conclusive. It’s just an ending of one thing, to be in position to begin something else.
Daryn Kagan has been part of my life, as my favorite CNN news anchor. Working from home, CNN is part of my daily routine. It’s my co-worker. The news is my office buzz. If I remember to stop to eat lunch, (I rarely remember), I turn on the TV to catch what CNN is talking about. Daryn is gone by then, but chances are, I’ve already watched her deliver the news. She’s gorgeous, earthy and natural. I even managed to forgive her taste in men (whom I heard she’s no longer dating).
Daryn is launching a new website, called DarynKagan.com. She wants to focus on the positive. The world is a “good place”, she says on her site. I think it’s saying something, when a newscaster, after reporting bad news on one of the world’s largest news sources for 12 years, can continue to feel good about life.
I’m really going to miss her. It’s been a week of goodbye’s.
Greetings, to whatever is created next.

Yes, Daryn Kagan will be missed.
I was getting used to the news with Daryn Kagan and I liked her intellect and mannerisms. Yes, we’ll miss her on CNN! I was surprised, but glad that I saw the last broadcast!
Daryn was my favorite years ago in Phx, and she was one of my favorites at CNN. I wish her well in her new venture, but I’m really sorry she no longer brightens up CNN. Not sure I like their new format in the morning.
I agree Cathy. I STILL miss her and its been a few weeks. They haven’t been able to replace her. Everyone else is just a substitute. No one has her smile, or way of delivering the news. She made me want to watch CNN.
