Everytime I hear the topic of Net Neutrality come up in conversation, everyone is confused about what it is and why it matters.

My friends at Digital-Telepathy Internet Marketing Strategy have posted in their new blog on the topic, in an entry called Permanent Link: Net Neutrality - The Fight Continues They write,

Plenty of people and organizations are taking sides with an uneven balance of consumers and internet based companies that are pro Net Neutrality and a top heavy group of power hungry telecommunication and broadband service providers along with the support of mainly conservative politicians are opposing the idea.

Their post has links to learn more. See also the discussion where we wrestled with it at Cre8asiteforums, in Net Neutrality: What Will It Mean to Web Designers, Marketers and SEO’s?

There is lots of SES San Jose coverage in the blogs. Thank goodness. I had pangs of the “Wish I was there too”, but instead, looked at pictures whenever someone posted them and played a game of “Do I know that person?” instead. I knew a lot of them, and their familiar wide grins with glass or bottle in hand pose. My two favorite SES San Jose spots to get the latest are Lee Odden’s Online Marketing blog and the ever faithful reporters at Search Engine Roundtable.

I’m off for a four day escape to the beach with husband, family’s golden retriever, and four kids (3 of them mine, plus a friend.) See you next Tuesday.
