Have you been feeling restless? Unchallenged? Knowing you need to “do something good” somewhere, but don’t know how or where? Maybe you’ve wanted to volunteer but either don’t have the extra time, or need ideas?

An interesting website called CharityGuide.org may inspire you.

The idea is that it’s possible to volunteer somewhere, or as they put it, “make a difference” in 15 minutes. Their goal is to help provide one million acts of kindness per year.

If causes such as protecting the environment, helping animals, random acts of kindness, and children’ issues (to name a few) interest you, but you need a little prompting or guideance, this website is for you. (It has a few minor rendering troubles in Firefox, I’ve found. IE will offer the better performance.)

From one press release:

CharityGuide.org, makes it possible for:
- busy office workers to volunteer during lunch breaks
- busy college students to volunteer between classes
- busy parents to volunteer after their kids go to sleep
- busy business travelers to volunteer from their hotel rooms

The volunteer projects featured at CharityGuide.org are developed by investigative journalists who provide specific “how to” instructions and hyperlinks that make it possible to accomplish the service projects in the time promised.
