Today marks the start of the first round of articles submitted for reader voting for the Search Engine Marketing Scholarship Contest, sponsored by Marketing Pilgrim – Internet Marketing Consultant, Andy Beal

Writing styles and topics are varied. Subjects sought after include search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click advertising (PPC) or social media optimization (SMO). Contest entry articles can submit tips, advice, tricks or “secret tactics” that readers would find “useful”.

One entry is aimed at the SEO industry itself, asking how much SEO’s are worth. Others are written from the heart. Some portray what the writer knows about the industry or how they came to learn their skills. (I can’t link to any of them because I am a judge in the final round.)

Voting is determined by the post that has the most unique visitors .

You’re invited to read and vote for the contest entries for this first week at:Search Engine Marketing Scholarship Contest Entries – October 9th

Andy Beal writes,

Click, read, forward, blog your favorite entry and help them advance to the final judging.

Week two, for submissions, opens today! If you feel inspired to submit your own article, you have until 6pm Saturday October 14th.
