I always focus on navigation and usabilty rather then strange design.

White background and stable colors are best.

User-centered design is important because if Web site is not useful to users, users will not visit the Web site. Web site must meet users’ needs and users must find information when they visit the site. Designers must consider who the users of Web site are, what information users need, and more.

Thanks, Kim It’s amazing how, as a group, we usability people have somehow made it so hard to understand what usability is. Despite what we preach, we often have the worst impulses of techies and academics. I’m just trying to step down from the ivory tower a bit more often.
