The present generation of search engine marketers have increased their educational opportunities for the next generation during the past several months. In addition to seminars, conferences, an online college and various books, each of which have been solid staples for learning search engine optimization and marketing skills, now there are internships and scholarships available.
The latest offer comes from Andy Beal, Internet Marketing Consultant for Marketing Pilgrim. A scholarship, worth at least $5000, is offered via a contest. Open to anyone, the participant is asked to write an article on one of three possible topics. A panel of judges, of which I am one, determines the winner.
From the press release:
Article entries will be published on four consecutive Monday’s in October, starting on October 9th. The author of the most popular article each week will win a copy of the book “Search Engine Optimization: An Hour a Day” and qualify as one of four finalists for the scholarship prize. The final winner will be selected by a panel of industry-expert judges.”
